One of the UK's largest builders has apologised to a couple after they reported a catalogue of serious faults with their new home.
Suzanne and Richard Dewar-Smith have suffered since April when they moved into their home in Copperfield Close, on the Fairfield Park estate, Stotfold, built by Persimmon Homes.

Newcastle-based Bellway Homes was fined at Barnsley Magistrates' Court after pleading guilty to the pollution of Knoll Beck at Brampton near Barnsley.
The company, of Dudley Lane, Seaton Burn, was also ordered to pay full costs of £2,119.87 to the Environment Agency, which brought the case.
James Keeley, for the Environment Agency, told the court that on December 13, 2004 an Environment Agency officer attended the Knoll Beck, which is next to the Heron's Reach Development on Pontefract Road at Brampton near Barnsley, to carry out routine water quality tests.

A frustrated homeowner lost his temper and brawled with staff when a building company failed to fix 400 defects in his new luxury villa.
Alan McIntee finally flew into a rage after claiming he had visited the Muir Homes sales office to complain on more than 100 occasions.
He tried to speak to management on the office phone, but when it was taken away from him he lashed out at the company's staff.
