Talks over shaky Westbury homes fears

Residents living on an exclusive housing estate fear their homes may be on the move due to shaky foundations.

Westbury Homes has confirmed that some people living in £190,000-plus houses in Heritage Place, Hopwood, have been sent letters calling them to talks on Thursday to discuss the situation.

An anonymous call to the Advertiser claimed that some residents feared their homes may have to be demolished and the foundations strengthened before replacements can be built.

One home owner, who lives close to the houses believed to be affected, said problems stemmed from bad drainage and waterlogged land.
