A sales boss of building giants Barratt has been sacked after a fraud probe.
The investigation was launched after a whistle-blower claimed family and friends of executives were buying homes at knockdown prices before selling them for massive profits.
West of Scotland sales and marketing director Stuart MacColl, 41, has been fired, while managing director in Scotland, Ian McGhee, 47, has quit.
The inquiry focused on the houses, acquired by Barratt under the Oakleaf part-exchange scheme.
An investigation was launched after the whistleblower contacted Barratt chief executive Mark Clare at their London HQ. An audit was carried out and files relating to a number of property deals could not be traced.

What chance do home buyers have when the house builders cannot even manage their own staff.
Well the housebuilding industry has been given the opportunity time and time again to sort itself out and failed. It is time for new legislation and better protection for consumers.
