Well it seems Crest have now changed their minds. They phoned to confirm our completion date yesterday for 5th October 2006. But when I mentioned snagging they said it was against policy and I should not have been told it was ok. After talking with 2 different people on the matter they have completely ruled out us having a snagging inspection carried out before we move in.

If you know of anyone considering shared ownership tell them to please think again. In most instances they attach social housing to the shared ownership block – my experiences has been horrendous because you work hard to pay for your share in the property and assume it is an investment – now we can’t even give the flats away – violence, drugs, anti-social behaviour all around. They have even ripped out the metal in our lift – the association in Ealing who manage the social housing side know who to the addicts are and the tennants engaging in the ASB but do nothing as our investment goes down the drain – please discourage people from shared ownership investments attached to social housing. We asked for CCTV at our expense – to no avail. We are actually trapped in with no way out.
