What is great about Dahl is that even when he is describing day-to-day events it is obvious he is leading up to something and the suspense kills! Rating: - Brought me to EnlightenmentA leatherbound edition came into my hands when I was thirteen - and I was in rural Philippines. (I now live in Australia.) I do not know how the book came to my part of the world, but it surely opened my sexual horizons. Being a non-English speaker, I found a lot of the terms alien to me, but gradually learned their meanings. The book brought me to new heights of pleasure, and ushered me into my own Age of Enlightenment.
