 Rating: - All children should read this bookI read this book over and over when I was 6 or 7 (20 years ago), and still remember several of the poems off by heart. I would recommend it to any parent trying to encourage their children to read. A* through out the book. Rating: - Please Mrs ButlerThis is an essential read for every child. As a trainee teacher I use this book a lot with the children, and it always gets thumbs up from them. Not only do children adore this book but adults love it just as much!!!! Rating: - best ever poetryI loved this book as a 6 year old, but it's even better now I can laugh at just how true (dog in the playground is classic kid behaviour) it is, and it also wins nostalga brownie points. Everybody should read these poems. Rating:  - Oh memoriesI was introduced to this book by my English Teacher when i was 10 years old-I loved it then. Now after re-reading it, I remember why I loved it, the memories of my whole class sitting round the table hearing these short poems brings back many happy school memories...I would encourage anyone to get this book, read them to children that are of school age, I am sure they will recognise many of the situations found in this book.
