 Rating: - Not the revised versionThis Bible is one of the versions used in Catholic Mass in the UK (as in many other countries) with passages from it comprising the Lectionary. Another version that can be used is the New Revised Standard Version. Another reviewer has said that this Bible contains additional books not found in other Bibles. These books are actually the Deutero-canonical books of the Catholic Canon of Sacred Scripture and are called "Apocrypha" or "Hidden" books in protestant circles. These books are well worth reading and study. The Jerusalem Bible translation of Sacred Scripture has been revised and there is now a New Jerusalem Bible translation which follows, I think, more accurately the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts. Rating: - Excellent version of the BibleThis Bible is a marvelous teaching aid, with sections on different subjects. .Contains many interesting passages and Books not shown in other bibles.Probably the best Bible for new christians to learn many wonderful truths.
