 Rating:  - A simple reference cover a lot of ground in a small bookThis book has baffled me and my wife - what's the Caroway bird got to do with Anything?? I guess it's just part of the book's charm. This book is designed for people that want to get an overveiw of how to use Autocad, without going into huge amounts of detail, but still focussing on delivering the goods in telling you how to do a wide range of basic functions. From my own experience trying to learn Autocad, no one book can teach you everything. What I found is that you need a range of books - a meaty definitive book such as Mastering Autocad 2006, then a book that has depth but not overly deep covering most aspects of the software such as "Just Enough Autocad", that's good for gaining overviews into something you're not understanding but in simplespeak free of Jargon, and then simple quick reference books just for refreshing you memory and not requiring you to read reams to find out something easy. This book is indespensible falling into this final category, and you will find yourself going back to it again and again. But as a stand alone book for teaching you Autocad 2006 fully it isn't meaty enough. Rating:  - Very usefulThis was ideal for anyone not familiar with Autocad who is IT literate. The book gives a good insight and familiarisation to the software without requiring hours spent on much larger books. This was a good buy.
