 Rating: - Great intro to SadeThis was the first time I read any of the Marquis de Sade's stories, and I think it was a good introduction. The stories are great examples of the Gothic genre. I was surprised that many of the stories were quite moralistic, the author either directly or indirectly condemning the perpetrators of injustice or vice. In many cases the villains get their comeuppance in a suitable fashion. Definitely worth it if you're into gothic horror, etc. Some of the stories are a bit longwinded though, so I deduct a star for that.
