 Rating:  - My Favourite!Of all the 'Dark' books I've read, this has to be my favourite. I will not review this novel, since it's been done many times. I loved Darius, it simple as that! And to think I hesitated about getting this book. After the first few pages, I was caught in the story. First you have to read 'Dark Challenge' to get to know and understand Darius and why he is the way he is. Darius falls for the fiery Tempest, almost at first sight and is determined she would be his. Of course, it irritated me when he claimed her immediately without her knowledge, but then this is a 'Dark' book. I love his protectiveness and the lengths he goes to keep her safe. (Yes,yes,I know all the Dark ones are like that:) And his tender amusement at her absolute non-existant sense of direction. Loved those parts. Okay, the plots are almost repetitive and the love scenes are done in a similar style, but then all her book in this series are. So you must bear this in mind when getting the 'Dark' books. The only way I could get through reading CF 'dark series'(since I got all the books first) was to read them two at a time, so they don't feel so repetitive, and you can enjoy them. A star less for all that nauseating endearments. Didn't like it a bit. Rating: - Simply the BestThis was the first Christine Feehan book that I had read, and I have to say that although I now own 16 books of the 'Dark Series', this is the book that got me hooked. For me this is the best book 'so far', the compelling way Darius is portrayed means you are their sharing his thoughts and feelings. Christine you have a fabulous mind keep all these fantastic characters coming. Rating: - Christine Feehan - My Light in a Dark WorldWho would not love her books. We actually have strong heroines that don't make you want to rattle their teeth. The Heros are like chocolates to a chocaholic ......yummy. And the steam that rises of the pages....ummmmmm....!! I am not reviewing the book, (I loved it gimme more!!) because I think first time "Christine Feehan" readers should read it for themselves, but if you love gripping stories, sensuous love scenes, developed characters and not sleeping at night because you always want to read one more chapter Christine is the Author for you. Christine writes stories that makes me realise why I love romances. I bought the first book by chance (January this year) and fell instantly in love with the DARK series. I now have every book she has written to date and have even pre-ordered her next book in the series DARK LEGEND for Next year. There are six books out to date, and also short story in the series. I only have one compliant the the stories are too short (even if they are over 350 pages long). Thank you Christine. Keep the Dark Men coming..... Rating: - Excellent!Although Dark Fire is part of Christine Feehan's Carpathian Dark Series it easily stands up on its own. Darius and Tempest are well written intriguing characters and I can't wait to read the rest of the series! Rating: - Yum!The sixth book in this ongoing saga is about Gregori's (Dark Magic) lost brother Darius. As is with their line, Darius, though without the guidance of the ancients still manage to acquire skills and keeps their group together. Therefore, as the leader of their group, he is masterful and law unto himself. Along comes Tempest, who is sweet natured, has an affinity with animals and is not intimidated by Darius. On top of that, she does as she pleases, ignoring Darius whenever she feels he is overbearing. It is beautiful the way Darius cares for Tempest and the sacrifices he is willing to make for her.
