 Rating: - Entertaining & informative read.It was really enjoyable to read a book which entertained as well as informed without being pedantic. I now can't wait to go to Greece to see the pagan sanctuaries and the early Christian churches. Jill Dudley's search for an understanding of Christianity as it emerged from paganism is really very funny. And her discussions with Harry on the subject of the church's teaching I found stimulating. She asks questions and probes into the spiritual world which, as she points out, has always existed - miracles, resurrections and the lot. I loved reading how Harry takes Christianity on trust - he is the perfect foil for her questioning.
