 Rating:  - Nice characters, but weak story line and multiple spelling/grammar errors are a big let down.Not a bad book. Liked the characters but the story line was very weak. Lost count of the spelling and grammar mistakes and I ain't no English teacher. Just makes it feel like the book was rushed out to get a sale. Very like The Tin Star which I loved: Two guys fancy the pants off each other. Too scared to do anything. Crisis happens and they comfort each other. Townsfolk find out. Lives threatened. Baddie found out. Townsfolk rally round. Rating:  - The Broken HSexy loveable characters, good story, once started is hard to put down. Well worth a read. A lot of graphic but loving sex between the two main characters. Definately a good bedtime read. Rating:  - Similar mixture to The Tin Star: good erotic romance.The Tin Star's winning formula was: closeted gay man in love with uncloseted younger man. Both find each other, have humungously great sex, fight off prejudice and live and lust happily ever after. This book is more of the same and, variety being the spice of life, does not succeed quite as well because of the similarity of the basic plot. But, few writers do great gay sex scenes as well, or as often, as Langley. So if you are looking for an easy, enjoyable, erotic gay novel in which men are men, know just what it is that makes a ranch hand raunchy and go to it with a will, then you'll have fun with this book. Rating: - (ranch) hands everywhere....!This is the third novel by J L Langley and maintains a similiar formula - gay feelings; possible romance; much angst; development of romance; possible loss of romance; challenges, burdens and difficulties overcome; romance wins. This book has cross-over characters with the authors other novel The Tin Star and although they do stand alone as seperate books, you might find reading Tin Star first provides you a nice setting in to which The Broken H leads.... Langley has a way of making her gay characters real and touching. You really want them to get together, you find yourselve willing them over the problems and anti-gay backlash they endure and the sex scene's are HOT, HOT, HOT!!
