 Rating: - Great for escapism, positive thinking and staying mentally motivatedI have a copy of this book living in my bathroom. Why? because the front cover and its colouring matches the ambience and colour in my bathroom and its great when I become disgrunted and start to lose sight of my goals to get some quiet time to think and dream with it. We all dream of escaping the rat-race and being able to dictate life on our own terms as against those of others. Page by page unfolds beautiful homes in idyllic locations all based on living at the water's edge. If you are not into that way of thinking this book still makes a great read and offers the chance to pick up some novel ideas with regards to interior decorating with a water's edge theme! Rating: - A great "escape" book.The book is jam packed full, of wonderful photographs that conjour up great atmosphere of the places describes. The houses are real dream homes, but have lovely ideas which can be used even in dreary rain washed Britain! I thoroughly enjoyed curling up on my sofa with the rain pouring down outside and being totaly transported to the gorgous places featured. My favourites were the houses in Australia, a place I have yet to visit, but since reading the book I am counting the days till I can see them for my self.
