 Rating:  - Best Book on Buying Property AbroadI really enjoyed this book and can thoroughly recommend it to others. I have read a few books like this, but none have the comprehensive coverage of both the wider investment issues and the detailed country analysis. I followed the advice on where to buy abroad and used the checklist the author provides to ensure that I didn't forget anything during my deliberations. A few euros well spent. Rating: - An Excellent Book - A "Must Have" for Property InvestorsI have just finished reading this excellent book and found it extremely useful and informative and terrific value for money. At 550 pages, it goes into the sort of detail that I was looking for as a UK Buy to Let investor who now wishes to branch out abroad. I particularly enjoyed the chapters on Investment Strategy, the "Top Down" approach to property investment and the Risk Analysis - a topic I have not seen covered in other property investment books of this kind. The country profiles, of which I think about 20 are covered, are detailed and provided information on the economy, buying process, taxation and hotspot areas. All in all an excellent book which has challenged some of my pre-conceived ideas about investing abroad, or Jet to Let, and has assisted me in taking the next step. By the by, Jet to Let Magazine, which I have subscribed to for free since buying the book, is a brilliant idea which keeps readers up to date with all the latest property investment news from the UK and abroad. Both publications are a must for anyone considering investing abroad. Rating:  - Dissapointing, dated and incomplete !This book was very incomplete (it covers only few destinations where you can buy property, and it doesn't go into much detail), but it is also full of generalities, and overall you feel cheated. It is also written 2 years ago, so many things changed in the meantime... Overall, dissapointing and just another big unuseful book to fill out your drawers :( Rating: - The Best Currently AvailableI am currently starting a website about investing in international property and so ordered virtually every book available on the subject to see what information is out there. This is definitely the best by a wide margin. The first 170 pages explain the basics of the jet-to-let market in great detail. There is a tremendous amount of useful information here yet it is written in a very simple way that is easy to read. Most material on international property simply drones on like a boring lecturer, yet I had no problem at all in keeping motivated to read right through to the end. The remainder of the book looks at the most interesting markets in the world currently. In most of the other books on the subject I read, this section is usually nothing more than a glorified travel guide, padded out with very basic information that you can find in hundreds of places on the Web. This book, however, actually has hard facts about each of the markets, going through the buying process. If you are only going to buy one book on investing in international property, this is the right one to go for. Rating: - Good Book This is a very thorough book. It's good on the technical analysis especially the economic background and the detail is very up to date (as of this time) Very useful for anyone looking at overeas property investment.
