![]() Rating: - Superb... These other reviews are so negative just bought this vac and I can honestly say it is excellent. Sooks up everything. Plus you can turn off the brush therefore if you have hard floors it wont damage them. Plus if you have rugs it doesnt sook them in and get tangled up. Great design recommended. Rating: - Good suction but cheaply designedAfter 2 1/2 years of use the handle cracked in half. The plastic on the tube extension cracked making it very difficult to remove and replace the hose. The unit does not go over pieces - it pushes dirt forward. The customer service is full of "sorrys" but short of taking any responsibility for such shoddy parts. In all, the unit is not worth the money. It does have a good suction but amortize that over the few years the plastic will hold up and it's just not a good investment. Rating: - Not sure what to make of it.It has good suction and strips the top of your carpet pile away. Not sure what the HEPA filter does. We have cats and they are terrified of this vacuum. Perhaps that is what it's for. Gets the animals out of the house while you clean up. My partner likes the dyson but i have never been a fan. This model just strengthens the feeling. Find it awkward, still don't like how the crevice attachment sticks out of the end of the handle threatening to poke your eye out. They do actually fit onto the vacuum more securely than the last model but my partner finds them really difficult to pull out. The hose will probably wear in the same place as the last one. The delivery was excellent. Rating: - Good but NOT clever designWe bought this particular Dyson due to 2 cats, who delight in leaving fur everywhere. The vac does a pretty good job of picking up hair and dust and was a vast improvement over our last bagged vacuum. It is not entirely maintenance free though. But then what machine is? You have to clean the filter every so often (not very difficult at all). However, the attachment hose is utterly, utterly rubbish. It is a total pain to set up 1) Unlatch handle. 2) Remove handle from hose 3) Re-attach handle to hose the other way up 4) Attach nozzle as required (no click on connection...kinda hangs loosely) 5) Re attach nozzle when it falls off 6) Repeat....grrrrrr It is too springy as well, pulling over the vacuum regularly. We now have laminate floors, so a dustpan and brush is sadly better. Rating: - Can't belive the hypeI have had mine for a couple of years and hate using it. Every time I get it out I really want to give it a good kick and then get on here to tell you all about my frustrating experience. So it sucks hard but most cleaners do. And do you know what these things do have filters that need cleaning!! This is a real chore to use. Considering it has awards for the design I can point out quite a few design flaws. It is heavy and very unfriendly in every aspect of it's function around the house. If you have stairs forget it. If you don't hurt your back carrying it up and down stairs then you are sure to be disappointed by the extension hose for cleaning by hand. It is not long enough and as with a lot of cleaners it has the tendancy to want to spring back out of your hand. The attachments for the end of the hose don't fit properly and will often come off when you scrub the stairs. Also as with other cleaners the hose wants to pull the upright over. Taking the tube out and putting it back is also a very poor design and completely un-user friendly. It really makes your life hard work as you will often want to switch between upright and hand hose operation. In fact all of the removable parts fit poorly and sometimes you can vacuum away without realising the dust container has not sat back in place properly after emptying. When putting the hose back to clean in upright position you can often find you loose suction as you haven't slid the part over where the hose fitted to the extension. All in all this is a real bind to use and I shall be staying away from Dyson in the future. I hope you find this useful and I can save you some real headaches. Do yourself a favour and look on Amazon for better reviews for other cleaners.
