 Rating:  - this timer is crapI have at least 5 different types of timers dotted all around my house, and this one is the worst I've ever used. Trying to stop the timer while it is going is near impossible, you have to press pause to stop the timer, and then stop and then reset to set it back to zero, or some such idiotic combination. And it is just as complicated to get it started. Moreover it doesn't show you the countdown in seconds, only minutes. In summary, it is very fiddly, a real pain to use and my least favourite of the lot. Rating:  - A real gemThis is an excellent timer, Salter have obviously put a lot of work into it as it's a big improvement over the original which I've had for probably 10 years. I particularly like the Quick Silent Countup; the Responsive Buttons; the Display that changes from H:MM to M:SS at one minute to go; the Alarm which is not too loud or annoying and lastly the Pulsing ":" to show it's counting. Rating: - Simple enough, loud enough and clear enoughHaven't read the instructions - it's so simple I didn't need to. The display is large and clear. I was worried that it wouldn't be loud enough but it was good enough even before I fixed it to a fridge (monster magnet on back) which almost made it too loud if I'm in the same room. The alarm sounds for about a minute and I'd have preferred longer but everything else about it is just what I wanted. Rating: - Salter big time.Found it difficult to live without it when similar model cracked up after about 8 years.
