![]() Rating: - Best way to cook pizza in a home oven!Really good. The problem with normal oven pizza is that the cheese needs to burn for the base to cook, and the base comes totally differently. The only way to make this better would be to make it square so you can make the most of the oven space. Also, it could be thicker. However, I am finally happy with the pizza I make away from the Pizzaria. Rating: - does wot it says on the platetook ages to arrive but well worth the wait, I buy value bases and put my own toppings on and they come out just like the ones from Pizza house!!! without the Que. try cooking your garlic bread on it as well, Yummy Rating: - Great results every timeGives good consistent results every time -- I'd recommend getting two as the stone is only big enough for half the smallest dough recipe I've found (500g flour) Rating: - worked as I hoped it wouldtired of soggy bottomed pizzas I hoped this would be the solution to restaurant quality crispy pizzas at home. Its my new toy and it does work well, but the stone does have to be piping hot when you put the dough on it. If you let the stone cool down too much the dough will stick and you will have to scrape it off. I notice some reviewers said their oven did not get hot enough. Our oven is a cheapo one with no fan or anything, the 'max' setting on the dial appears to be something above 250c, possibly 300c, and it works fine, provided you do get the stone really hot. The only drawback I can see to it is that obviously you have to handle the hot stone with oven gloves, but well, thats the nature of cooking, unless you just eat salad. Also once you have used it a few times it will look very 'seasoned' ie stained, but its a cooking stone, thats what its going to look like! And it does make nice pizza. (or rather you make nice pizza, its just a hot stone). Happy cooking! Rating: - Hot StuffThis is the perfect way to cook pizza. Put the oven up high, put the stone in to warm up. Take it out, put the pizza on, put it back in for 10-15 minutes, and you get a gorgeous crispy base that you just don't get with baking trays.
