 Rating:  - Great cardMy pc had a very slow fx5200 like the previos reviewer thats a very slow card and wasn't capable of playing newer games so i decided to buy a 6600gt. This card is powerful enough to run this years games at medium resolution and works perfectly with any games from last year and before that. The ony downside to this card is the fan, it's very noisy and can be annoying at times if u have no sound on. But other than that i highly recommend this card for gaming. Rating:  - Excellent entry level graphics cardI bought this graphics card to replace my fx5200 that came with my Dell 8300. I simply love First Person Shooters. This graphics card plays Half Life 2, CSS, Far Cry and Battle Field 2 very well. The card can run HL2 and CSS on high settings at 1024x768. I was able to run BF2 on medium settings at 1024x768. I had no problems opperating this card. I simply installed the latest video drivers from the nvidia website. The spec of my pc is P4 3.0Ghz with 1Gb RAM. I advise the use of a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 at the minimum, if you are serious about gaming. Rating:  - Beware of this product!I'd just like to take a few minutes in describing the problems I had with this card just so no one else need waste their time as I did over the Bank Holiday weekend. My PC is almost 4 years old but had the required spec to run this card. I'd even bought a new power supply (450W) as I had read that you needed at least 300W. Well, I spent aproximately 10 hours of my time trying to get this to work. All my drivers were up to date and the card was connected properly and had sufficient power but none of that helped. The problem I had was that everytime I started a 3D game the monitor would turn itself off and/or the pc would reboot. An internet search quickly revealed that many others were having the same or a similar problem with the 6600GT card, not all of them made by PNY I might add. The card is now being returned. My advice to anyone who has problems with any graphics card (in fact this could apply to any product) is that if it doesnt work straight out of the box (except perhaps for downloading the latest drivers), dont waste your time trying to get it to work.
