![]() Rating: - Worst ipodipod shuffle is still an ipod but it lacks feature that are most mp3 players. 1. There is no display screen 2. There is no way to check the battery life However the quality of the music is better that most mp3 players making it useful. If you can extend your money buy a nano, classic or even a touch. Rating: - I have been brought into the 21st century! All my friends have Ipods so I thought i would get one. Couldnt afford a Ipod nano saw the Ipod shuffle on offer and thought i would give one ago. Its very easy to use, holds plenty of songs, is easy to download songs onto and you can take songs off and add songs on easily. An ideal modern walkman! Rating: - Just bought my 2nd oneBRILLIANT. Nothing comes close to this for use in the gym or for any other form of exercise. Just clip it on, turn it on and go. It is so light and easy to use with great quality sound. I would have given it 5 stars but I have just had to buy my 2nd one after under 2 years as my last one had just started to became muffled and jumped around after about 10 minutes of use in the gym clipped onto my waste band. I suppose it had had a lot of use in sweaty conditions! Rating: - Better than a mix tape.........I bought the shuffle as something to listen to when out and about or when things get too noisy at work to concentrate. I have never owned an MP3 player before and was immediately impressed by how compact this thing is. Sound quality is good, maybe the highs could be more crisp and the bass a bit clearer but we're talking just over thirty quid here so I won't quibble. It has plenty of volume and I have so far filled it with around 6 hours of music and it is just over one third full. The itunes software works well and I don't know why people have objected to it so much in other reviews. This is not the player for those who wish to catalogue all their music on a single electronic medium, but for those of us who used to make "mix tapes" when we were kids then this thing is outstanding in terms of quality, utility and value for money. Rating: - Fantastic and unbeatable value for moneyWhy some people choose to dismiss this player or moan about it's lack of features is beyond me! It's simply brilliant! I use mine purely for the gym, so where else could you expect to get 250 tunes on an mp3 player which is lightweight can clip on your pocket and not even know it's there and not have to worry about breaking it? I used to take my 30gig ipod with me to the gym and after it falling off the equipment so many times and bearing in mind it usually fell onto something made of cast metal, not ideal really when you have a screen to break! So the fact that it doesn't have a screen is a bonus for me cos it's less to worry about and why are you ever likely to want more than 100 let alone 250 tunes on it when you can simply change them anytime you like on itunes. I just load them on press play finish my session at the gym turn it off and next time I turn it on it starts where I left off and you can choose the order you want them to play in itunes or press the shuffle feature if you fancy a random playlist for a change. As for those who question the sound quality, well I load less tunes on mine but at 320kbps which is cd quality and mine sounds superb, so if you are going to put tunes on it which are 128kbps or less you can only expect some deteriation in sound quality! Yes the headphones aren't exactly B&O but I don't really need to listen to 5.1 surround sound when i'm at the gym so for me they are more than adequate. I ask you where else can you get all those ingenious features for £32? Fantastic bit of kit for the right application!
