![]() Rating: - SUPERB BIT OF KITAfter searching the high street for a bracket to hang my 42" Philips LCD TV on my living room wall, I was not looking forward to having to pay upwards of 60 quid, as was the going rate. I then found this bit of kit for under 20 quid and ordered it. Turned out to be an excellent buy. I am no good at DIY, but it came supplied with plenty of different size bolts and easy to read simple instructions, and I was able to do the job myself no bother. The bracket itself is indeed solid and doesnt make the TV sit too far off the wall, leaving just enough room to get your scarts in the back. Simple, cheap, effective, superb. Rating: - Excellent mount, fits the bill! This bracket is fantastic. I mounted a 37" Toshiba Regza and the does the job very well. The bolts are huge and it's really easy to install once you've drilled the wall. It stands a little away from the wall which is perfect for fitting cables etc. Adjustment tilt is good and my TV is set up very nicely. Seller also sent very promptly, good service. Rating: - User friendly and good bargainI wall mounted my 40" sony KDL 40D 3500U (Bravia . LCD), without any problem. I bought a similar bracket from Argos for about 80 pounds but the screws wouldn,t fit into back of my tv, so returned it. the bracket which sony makes for this model is 200-250 pounds! there was a good choice of screws etc. with this bracket and the supplied M5*30mm screws were compatible with this model of sony.I used though different rawl plugs as my wall is part plaster board and part cement blocks and the supplied plugs are for concrete wall (i have a feeling that the ones supplied would have been ok as well but as I am a perfectionist and too cautious, i bought plugs from B&Q, these were for use with both concrete and plaster board walls. I also fixed the plate to wall with 8 screws (rather than the 6 supplied). bought few more 6*75 coach screws from B&Q. I would recommend fixing vertical bracket to the back of tv first. this gives you an idea as to where the tv will be on the wall when fitted to the plate and then you can choose the place for the plate accordingly. Even someone like me who is generally very apprehensive about DIY jobs was able to do it without any problems. the only "drawback" as couple of reviewers pointed out before is that tv is a little proud on the wall, rather than flush with the wall. I find this useful because I can get access to the back of the tv e.g plugging in the antenna/power supply cable etc. and can get access for adjusting the tilt. Also I have wall cabinets on each side of tv space, so it looks fine. Absolutely brilliant at this price. Rating: - Very HappyExcellent quality tv bracket, putting it up was simple, it comes with an amazing selection of bolts so there should be something for every tv, tilt works well and holds my 42" panasonic plasma easily. Bracket does hold tv about 3" from wall, my tv is in an alcove so this doesnt affect me though it may affect others. I have no idea how something of this strength and quality can be made and sold for less than £18, especially when electrical superstores charge over £100. Rating: - Cheap and uglyI did read these reviews here because I was a bit worried about the cheap price but I can't believe no one mentioned how ugly your plasma TV looks on this. I did whatever the instruction says and ended up with the TV looking very odd far away from the wall. You can adjust the angle +15 -15 but there is no chance you can push the TV closer towards the wall. You'll regret buying this as soon as you hang your plasma on the hook. Can't believe just one person here mentioned this and I didn't catch that line otherwise I would've gone for a different one that takes the telly closer to the wall. It's suitable for only those who've got the TV's hiden in a wooden box in the wall somewhere. Sorry boys, one star only.
