 Rating:  - When it works, it's great.. The Parrot is a good unit when it works, but unfortunately does not seem to function correctly all of the time. When it works, the sound is clear, and the person at the other end can hear you clearly enough. The main issues I have had with the unit is that it cannot seem to remember the voice tags I've recorded to it, and it gets confused - not even with names that sound alike. It also intermittently has problems with the phone pairing - so will not actually output the sound on the handsfree unit. The problems don't happen alot, but it is unpredictable as to when it will happen, which can get quite frustrating. If I was going to buy another unit, I would probably choose something a that cost a little more, as this definitely comes across as a budget unit. Rating:  - Nice hands free, no problemsI read some reviews previuosly about how fragile the Parrot is, but it is not true, very sturdy and useful hands free system that you dont have to install in your car. It is very handy to use at home, while taking bath, or watching telly. Reception of microphone is very good and speaker system is of high quality sound. Recommend Rating:  - Not worth the MoneyWorked for a week. Then stopped and wouldn't pair with the handset (already paired with). Control knob only works sometimes. Clearly poorly made. Battery loses charge after a few hours and then won't re-charge fully. Opinion - a load of rubbish and expensive at that. As 'Which" would say - Don't Buy Rating:  - DissapointingOK so it is not that expensive and I know you can't expect BA service at EasyJet prices, but still, quite a frustrating piece of kit. When I bought this a colleague of mine said keep the box and the receipt 'cos you'll probably end up sending it back .... wish I'd listened. If you have never had a real hands free kit in your car and don't relish the prospect of having a Bluetooth headset stuck in your ear - this is probably fine - as long as you don't do long journeys. It doesn't hold its charge sufficiently for someone who drives away for the day on business, no way. But short journeys then a re-charge, fine. But, if like myself you previously had a 'real' hard wired handsfree kit which charged itself as you drive, this will be a major step backwards. It seemed like a good idea at the time - being able to change phone without the problem of keeping it to fit your hands-free cradle. Operationally I have a few niggles with it too, it has a light which goes from red to orange to green when being charged - it's a shame that doesn't light up to show you when it's running low, it seems to be working one minute, then not working the next without you noticing on a drive that it went flat. Also the on/off switch would be better being a more responsive switch slid into on or off position, the press it solution is not fool proof - is it on or off ? keep finding I have to look up to my sun visor to see if its lights are flickering occassionaly (which could mean you take your eyes off the road for a split second). There is a higher spec Parrot Bluetooth device on sale for around £90 - In hindsight I guess I should have bought that instead - think I'll see what other users think of that then give this one up as a bad job. Rating:  - very good after initial hassleI'm very pleased with this now. I bought it because I wanted voice dialling in my car, and my new phone doesn't have that. The Minikit paired instantly with the phone (Samsung U900) but I couldn't get the voice tags onto it - it just kept disconnecting when trying to send them. I was ready to throw the thing away! I must say that the Parrot helpline were excellent. I had to phone them several times to sort out my problem, as they explained that they hadn't tested this particular phone yet as it is new, but they didn't give up and their final suggestion about a different way of pairing the two devices worked. I now have the voicetags, the set works beautifully and reception is crystal clear both in the car and for the person I'm talking to. My one complaint is that to switch it on or off you have to hold the "on" switch down for a while, and it is difficult to check whether it is actually on, as the lights flash very slowly. You also can't check whether it is still connected to the phone without looking at the phone, which does rather defeat the object! It does switch off automatically when the phone is over 10 meters away, but that is quite a distance so I always switch it off when I leave the car.
