Editorial Review: Product Description: Perfect for photojournalists, the SlingShot 200 AW uses a unique sling design to go from carry mode to ready mode in just seconds. Carried comfortably on the back, it easily rotates to the front so you can get to your camera quickly. The SlingShot 300 AW holds an SLR with mid-range zoom lens attached 3-4 extra lenses, cables and accessories and has a full access lid to make loading it a snap. This feature-rich bag also includes a built-in memory card pouch, micro fiber LCD cloth and two generous organizer pockets. It s certain to surprise even the most demanding photojournalists. ![]() Rating: - ExcellentI've used the Lowepro Slingshot 200 for about 12 months now, with a Nikon D300, 2 lenses, a spare body and Speedlight 600 flash. All is swallowed up in the main compartment with a bit of spare space, leaving the external pocket for spare cards, batteries, cleaning cloths, cables etc and the top free for a compact camera, binoculars, food / drink etc. Well made, water-proof so far (although I haven't tested it extensively) and I've found it stable enough for walking with just on shoulder strap and completely solid up and down hills and low-level scrambling when the second stability strap. The only possible down side is that it is impossible to look "cool" when putting on or removing an over-the-head strap like this, and the bag itself will never look as good as a Billingham. If you can live with that (I can!), it's a great bag at a superb price. Rating: - Brilliant!VERY impressed with this. I brought it as I had mroe lenses than my old bag could carry. In this bag I have managed to fit: 350D with BG-E3 Battery Grip and a 18-135mm Lens attached 100mm Macro Lens 75-300mm Lens 18-55mm Lens Leaving a spare pocket, space for lens filters, air blower int he top pouch along with remote switch and other cleaning items. Very happy with it! Rating: - great bage for Canon 450DThis bag just about holds my 450D, my only concer is i would have wanted it to be a little smaller, but that may be because im not a day to day user of my camera. For someone with an extra lens and if they are daily users then this is really good Rating: - A very good compromiseFor several years now I have been using both a shoulder bag and a ruck sack. While the shoulder back gives quick and easy access to lenses and equipment it is a pain (literally) to carry for long periods. On the other hand the rucksack is very comfortable to carry but every time you want to change a lens or filter you have to take it off your back, find somwhere dry and safe to put it down, unzip it get want you want and then put it all back together again. The Lowepro Slingshot 300 AW does a very good job of combining the two. It is comfortable to carry ( with all my gear for a days shooting it weighs about 10 k) and when you need access to lenses you swivel it round and unzip the flap and away you go. The main compartment has versatile velcro fixed dividers and holds my camera with 17 - 85 zoom attached together with 5 other lenses includin a 75 - 300 telephoto plus a flashgun. There are 2 other zipped compartments sufficient to hold all my other loose gear (filters small reflector remote release etc.) with special pockets for memory cards and spare batteries. Realistically, though you need to put the bag down to access these compartments. The bag is well though out with several neat touches and seems to be very well made. Oh yes..... it also has an all weather cover. All in all a very good buy! Rating: - Great Bag, But Only a Starter!Well, I bought this after a recommendation from a forum. It was all great, the bag is robust, secure and transported my D60 SLR with two lenses fine. There is space for three lenses at a push. The whole slingshot feature is great. Access to the camera is easy to access and I feel my gear is secure with the clips and zip system. Three months on, I have grown out of it as I wanted a bag what I could carry a drink and sandwiches in. I also have four lenses, a lens hood and a spare battery to transport with me. I'd recommend this bag for those just starting out, but if you plan to get serious, get a bag that doesn't LOOK like a photographers bag. Look at double strap bags as this one can last for a few hours but all day could be painful on the shoulder!
