 Rating: - get what you pay forThese corkscrews REALLY do work. However they are subject to quite a lot of stress when being used, so you need to get a good one. Unfortunately, the cheap ones don't last - mine lasted about a year - and the expensive ones do. Simple as that. I recommend you get this type of corkscrew as they are great, but get a good one - don't use false economy! Rating:  - Oh dear!Bought this as a Christmas present - worked fine for all of 6 weeks before breaking! Trying to organise a return which is a nightmare as ver 30 days and I keep going round in circles! Anyway, be wary as not robust at all! Rating: - Shoddy is a good word for it!I must agree with the other reviewer - the springs popped out and I spent ages trying to put them back in - and the coating came off the screw and some of it ended up in the bottle since it was scraped off on the cork for the bottle (maybe I even consumed some who knows!) I think all in all its a bit dangerous and definatly shoddy. Lightening is a good word to describe the speed of decline in your opinion of the product once you use it. Rating:  - Great (hic) openerA seriously good opener and terrific value against others at 10 times the price.No hestitation in recommending. Rating: - Shoddy pice of equipmentI bought one of these as it looked a nifty way of opening a bottle of wine and was also a lot cheaper than many of the others on the market. Shoddy does not do it justice, upon opening it one of the two internal springs fell onto the floor, the plastic handles were loose and poorly made and upon opening our first bottle of wine it stripped huge amounts of the coating off of the screw itself. Am returning it for a refund within 24 hours of it turning up. A very disappointing and incredibly shoddy item, avoid!!!
