Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Makes no difference at all...
I'm lucky enough to own an HD TV, and had been using the standard cables that come with the Wii, so figured the picture quality could be a lot better. Read a few of the reviews on here and decided to go for it as it's a relatively cheap cable.

However, upon switching from the standard cables, I found that this made no difference at all (and I did set the Wii to run on HD too!). Tried it with both Zelda and Wario Ware with no notable difference, and in fact the picture was slightly worse because the new cable added 'snow' to the screen.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent component cable
I have to recommend this as an essential purchase if you have a hi-def TV and a Wii. The image is a lot sharper on larger screens and with a internet being definitely better (although iplayer gets a bad attack of the jaggles, curse you bbc!!). On games with a muddier palette eg Resident Evil 4 and Zelda the difference is huge, making the games a lot more fun to play.
Worth every penny.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Well worth it.
If your TV supports component input you really should consider one of these as it is a major improvement on the standard connection.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - If you have a Wii and a flatscreen telly, GET ONE!
If your telly accepts component inputs (ie red/green/blue coloured inputs, sometimes labelled Y/Pb/Pr) and you have a Wii then you owe it to yourself and the baby Jesus to get one of these.

I received this cable from Amazon yesterday and it has made a fantastic difference to the quality of video output from the Wii compared to the composite cable that comes with it. The sound output isn't noticeably different.

I haven't compared the 4gamer composite cable with any other but figured that the Nintento official one was overpriced and the eBay 99p specials were probably pretty poor. Therefore the 4gamers one is recommended. It comes with a composite/component switch so you don't need to resort to the composite cable that came with the machine if you're taking your Wii round the house of some poor tramp friend who doesn't own a high-definition TV.

Incidentally I went into Game on Saturday asking for a component cable and the staff member advised that it would make no difference with a Wii since it's output is not high definition. This would be true except the Wii can output a higher-quality video signal called 480p ("progressive" scanning) than a component lead can transmit.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good component cables at a good price
My advice to you is, if you have a tv with component inputs then buy these, just do it now, because your picture will look much better.

It's clearer and crisper for a start. You should put the Wii on ED/HD mode in the Wii settings. This will give you 480p resolution. If you don't know what this means, well, it means that fast movement is much smoother.

I've got my wii hooked up to to a Samsung 32" HD and I can see a huge difference. Before it was like playing having had a few drinks, with blur-o vision.

There is a slight downside. The Wii, as all consoles do, feature some games that don't use AA (or edge smoothing). So if the game developer has been lazy and done a poor job, this is no longer hidden by the old cables. Personally I think it's worth it even with the odd jaggy edge.

Try searching the Internet for "4Gamers Component HD Audio Video Cable (Wii)" or Ebay for "4Gamers Component HD Audio Video Cable (Wii)".
