 Rating:  - Solid, dependable keyboard with great features.This could well be the daddy of keyboards, particularly for gamers. Though it is a bit on the large side compared to "normal" keyboards, the build quality and general 'feel' is top notch. Most importantly, the keys have anice positive feel to them without being horribly squishy and without being too hard on the fingers. The various configurable keys (more on this shortly) are positioned very well just in reach on the left & right hand sides of the key field and are configurable. The software that comes with the keyboard is painless to install and allows excellent configuration. The configurable keys can be set up for single functions or a string of key presses can be assigned to each one as a sort of a macro - very powerful for RTS, MMoRPG and normal RPG games. They're also extremely user-friendly to configure. The keyboard also has rocker switches on either side for zooming in & out when browsing photos (you get to pic seamlessly from a range of applications that this works with) and on the other side is a handly volume switch that neatly and without fuss alters the master volume. Add to this a very nice feeling hard plastic wrist rest in front of the keys (featuring a very cool slowly pulsating razer logo) and the addition of USB, headphone and microphone jacks on the keyboard and you have a very comprehensive product. It looks good, feels good and works very well with a minimum of fuss. My only minor gripe is that only the confuigurable keys and certain others are back-lit, making the additional "battle light" accessorie somewhat mandatory if one wishes to play in the dark. Otherwise, an excellent keyboard that has a quality feel and superb functionality. Rating: - best keyboard on the market at the momentBeen gaming in one form or another for the last 14 years so seen my way through a good number of peripherals. Went through the whole cherry keyboard era, onto the microsoft naturals and then in the laptop style keyboard the logitech ultrax.. then i decided to get a gaming keyboard, borrowed my mates g15 for a week, felt.. cheap, keys felt cheap, the keyboard itself felt hollow, or just plain not nice. had the razer diamondback for a while before so i gave the tarantula a go.. without a shadow of a doubt the best keyboard ive ever seen, bought or used in my life!! feels nice n solid, the keys feel great, with the speed this baby works its magic the response times arnt even worth thinking about. interchangable keys are good for thsoe who want them, the L and R extra keys are handy for pretty much everything! has just enough media keys, not too many not to few, and theyre nice and spread out so it doesnt look busy. looks chunky but once u start using it... my my my! the none slip strip along the front (side nearest u as u use it) is a nice addition, and while the overall shape of the front takes a few hours use to get used to, after a while feels great! aesthetically, well, its just downright sexy. best keyboard on the market at the moment. if your into gaming, want something that looks nice and works an absolute treat, dont hesitate! price tag is a bit steep but you get what you pay for! Rating: - excellent keyboardive had this keyboard for around 8/9months now, and ive not had a single problem with it. The interchangeable keys are fun to mess around with, and the feel of the keys themselves are amazing. softer than regular keyboards, but without the cheap feel like laptop keyboards, i can press keys without having to actually "push" down. response times are amazing, no problems with feedback or multipresses. and the blue razer logo is just immense :) top keyboard, if a little pricey, id say its worth it. Rating: - Superb keyboard!I've had this keyboard for 6 months now and I have to say this is a magnificent gaming keyboard. The interchangeable buttons are superb as is the quick response and feel of the keys. I also bought the new Razer Lycosa keyboard from the states and to be honest I found the Tarantula keyboard to be significantly better. A great performing keyboard that looks good too. Rating: - clean looking and responsiveHad it for a year now and never had a problem, it looks good next to my diamondback mouse, and has always felt super responsive.
