 Rating:  - Avoid like the plagueStop, go and buy Kingston or someone else. This is absoultely atrocious. It feels light and flimsy, and it fails to load so you have to take it out and reload it into the usb slot time and again. It's just deleted an MSc dissertation! Always back up your data, especially with this as it will most likely go wrong!!! Go for a better manufacturer. I'll never buy PNY again, i've had one before which was also rubbish, still at least Amazon give you a refund. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Rating:  - Good and fast on Windows XP, but flimsy lidWe own 5, my husband and I, and are very pleased with them. Very good, fast for transferring films recorded from out tv tuner cards on our laptops; also for pictures and and for work, as well. Very good value for money, too. The only weakness is the flimsy plastic lid that comes off so easily. We'll have to think of a solution for when it cracks. Rating: - Works quite nicely.It worked fine in my year old desktop and 3 year old office PC both running XP Pro. I previously bought a Kingston 8GB and that gave write errors in my office PC. Build quality is reasonable. Speed is much the same as all the others you can buy for a similar price. I'm quite happy with it. Rating: - Beware when using vista!Everything seemed ok when first using the stick, 8gig of memory, decent data transfer etc. However, when attempting to move files from an XP machine to a vista machine, I kept getting an error message informing me that the 'media had changed', and it wouldn't copy the vast majority of the files over. The stick would still transfer these files to another xp machine, and the vista machine could still read the files off the stick, it just wouldn't copy them! It seems that this isn't an uncommon problem with vista and some memory sticks, so beware! The stick itself is fine, but just beware crap microsoft operating systems! Rating: - Build quality has declinedI've bought PNY attaché flash drives before, and this one feels very flimsy and imprecisely moulded by comparison. It doesn't match the picture on the packaging or the one that Amazon have -- the activity LED has been moved forward so that it's next to the brand writing. I'd assume it was a fake if I'd bought it on eBay, and can only assume PNY have been making cutbacks since the original production run. The only plus side is a bigger lanyard hole than their earlier shells, which is large enough to attach to a keyring... though the plastic probably wouldn't last long with that treatment.
