 Rating:  - love it.......I bought this nearly a year ago in Oct 2007 , and have just upgraded to another zen product with more memory as i was so impressed with this product. Am totally impressed by this little MP3 player. ADVANTAGES: * price - is even cheaper than when i got it, I paid 21.50 and would pay it again. * Asthetics - pretty in pink ;), tiny, lightweight yet sturdy (i managed to put it thru the washing machine and the quality is still top class). * Sound quality - Great. * Usability - Straighforward. I use it in work (don't tell), i just plug it in via the usb port and transfer files from the pc to the stone, you dont even need to download the software (provided). You can split the music into various folders, however as there is no display i don't know if this is a big advantage. Basically i have it on 'shuffle' so it goes through all the tracks. Battery life is reasonable as well. DISADVANTAGE: * No LCD display means there is basically no navigating, if you are looking for a song in particular, its going to be pot luck and a case of skipping through till you find it. Also the only way you know what songs you have on there is when you are connected to the PC. * Only being chargable through the USB port means you are restricted. For example, on holidays i couldnt recharge it. *also, I bought a transmittor to use the stone in the car.... wasnt a successful venture, sound quality was Rubbish with a capital R - i think this was due to a combo of the cheap transmittor and the stone - i've been using the same transmittor with my new Zen Mosiac, and the sound quality has now moved up the scale to tolerable (no capital T). Overall, i love it!!! its a year old and still going strong...am going to pass onto my 11 year old sister and bask in the glory of being a 'cool big sis' with my gadgets! Rating:  - Meets my demandsWhat do i look for when i get an mp3 player. even though i am young i still like my gadgets simple and easy to use. i want something small and practical, something that won't break if you drop it and finally to play the music with no fuss. like i say this meets my demands and hopefully will yours. Rating: - Superb - better than I expected and tiny!This is a superb product and exceeded my expectations of it. It's tiny has a long battery life and does everything it whould very well and as an added bonus looks great too. Rating:  - creative have battery problems.I rather like creative products but I do not like their policy around batteries as spare parts. I learnt this with my main mp3 whose battery died just after getting the stone. They do not sell the batteries as spares. They will fit one for you at a rather inflated cost that exceeds the price of the latest modely. They can be found though fairly cheaply on the internet. The stone has given me problems.. It was bought for my son. First up we had problems getting the computer to actually recognise it. This took a download from microsoft to do with the drivers. Next come useage problems. It is "reluctant" to be turned off for starters. This might not be too bad but we tend to use it via the car radio and there it is very annoying trying to turn the thing off before getting out of the car. Next up the lack of info about tracks became a noticeable problem. I have to admit it is partly my fault for not thinking of this when buying the machine. Lastly came the death of the battery. With this one I could not be bothered to hunt down a battery from Hong Kong. It seems to be designed as a throw away product. This is the first time Creative have let me down with a product. Rating: - So Far So Good!!!I purchased this item about two months ago and it's my first MP3 player. V impressed by its tiny size and, considering I'm fairly hopeless technically, found Creative's software for transferring music from my CD's onto the stone extremely simple and effective. I agree with everyone regarding the actual play time; consider myself luckly to get three hours on a full charge, but for the price (oh, and it is worth investing in some better headphones) I really can't complain. However, it's because of the play time that I'm not awarding it five stars. Just hope I haven't jinxed it by writing this review saying that my stone is still working fine!!
