![]() Rating: - DX4400 a waste of money and time.I bought this item nearly 4 months ago and it has yet to impress me in any way. It is noisy, slow, prone to the jets clogging and the software windows are a pain to navigate. For example when the jets do clog you have to right click the printer icon and go to printing preferences and the back tab is maintenance. The printer has no option to print black and white so if you run out of a colour cartridge the whole thing stops. Until the cartridge is replaced. Epsom have made great effort with this to prevent anyone using other than Epsom cartridges and will even say the cartridge is not recognised on their own products. The printer uses ink at an alarming rate especially if the jets clog. My one has been unusable awaiting ink more often than it has been in use. I thought it was just that I had bought a bad one but our work bought one and it is worse! My best advice is avoid this printer spend a little more and get one that works. Rating: - Not the best, but good value for moneyRead a lot of the reviews slating this printer before deciding to take the plunge anyway, at £30 as it was at the time, it looked worth a shot. I've been using the printer for around a month now and, yes, it may not be the quietest printer I've ever owned, and the inks may not last a lifetime (but how many printers do?), but the print quality of everything I've had to print so far, be it for business or personal use, has been of a sufficiently high quality and I've got a scanner and copier thrown in as well! If you're expecting £200+ printer results then you'll be disappointed, otherwise, if like me, you're not looking to break the bank, then the DX4400 is worth considering. Rating: - Epsons still kicking bottom with the DX4400I ordered this printer without reading the reviews about it and, like many others, chose this printer because it was cheaper than buying a new set of ink cartridges for my existing printer. I read the reviews after I placed the order and was almost tempted to cancel,I'm glad I didn't. For a simple cheap work-horse this printer has proved itself quite sufficient to the task. The claim, by some, that it is slow does not seem justified I've seen a lot worse. The noise level I heard complaints about, again I can't agree. For the money (good grief! the price of ink cartridges on some machines!!)I'm well satisfied with my purchase. There was a time when a scanner alone would have cost more than this machine. Epson made some really good dot-matrix printers in the '80's and they are still in the market serving up the goods... good on you Epson Rating: - Slow, noisy and expensive to runI have used this product for 2 weeks, printed 4 photos and 10 letters. The black ink cartridge is already down to half full. I am happy with the printing quality, but it is soooo slow. Put into print, and then go and make yourself a cuppa. I mean, the 1st photo I did, I thought there was a problem with the printer feeder because I couldn't see the paper moving through. The initial printer set up was straight forward. I would not recommend this product. There are good reasons why it is so cheap. Rating: - Complete rubbish...I strongly advise against buying this 3 in 1 printer, it's the biggest piece of cr*p I've ever owned! It won't scan and print at the same time. The biggest problem is getting it to accept 3rd party inc cartridges - even the highest quality ones - it will print part of a page and then reject one or more of the cartridges which becomes very frustrating and expensive. Unless the print-out is set to very nearly the highest setting; photo/premium glossy paper the printer produces blacks that are blue (even on the highest settings it's a bit hit or miss) which wastes even more ink! When it works it works quite well but at a rate of 1 usable print for 2 or 3 rejects it's hardly worth the effort! Even one star is one too many!
