It's easy to set up thanks to automatic channel installation, and its "Pulse Killer Chip" guarantees excellent reception, eliminating interferences caused by electrical pulses. It also includes a "Fast Zapp" function and an Electronic Programmes Guide for increased user comfort. And thanks to its connections system -- 2 scart sockets, including 1 RVB -- you can hook up external devices to this tuner. With its compact and modern design, the DTR220 will look great in any living room! ![]() Rating: - So good I bought second oneWe bought one of these from Asda, and it is the best freeview box we have had so far, so when my mums old panasonic box started to play up, we decided to get her one aswell. Rating: - DisappointingWish I had read the reviews on Amazon before purchasing this freeview box. I originally bought it from Comet as I was after a freeview box for my bedroom. With my TV being a Phillips TV and with that never letting me down, I thought I could trust them when it came to the freeview box. They're a good, quality well-established make, but they well and truly let themselves down with this. I regularly have to put up with it freezing that can happen at any moment, then this can only be fixed by pulling the plug out and putting it back in again. I thought it might have been down to my aerial, but not so after reading the many other reviews. Also Film Four doesn't appear to work properly - I can hear the sound but no picture. All other channels work ok. Sometimes it does actually work but mostly it doesn't. Very poor quality product - Phillips have let themselves down badly and I advise anyone to avoid buying this product. Rating: - dont be tight buy a better boxthis is a cheap box and you can tell, i went through 2 in 1 month. this box loves to freeze for no reason, then you have to unplug it from the wall then plug it back on. just dont buy spend a bit more quid and getter a better one then this. Rating: - Not worthy of the Philips nameI bought this when my reliable Daewoo box was rendered useless by a Freeview transmitter update, and what a disappointment! The remote control is a miserable affair, tiny, with totally symmetrical keys so you can hold it upside down and wonder why it doesn't work! When it's working the box is good but it often loses its on-screen graphics and often locks up necessitating the power being switched off and on, it then goes through its start up routine. I think we expect better than this from Philips Rating: - great box at a bargain priceMy old philips freeview box stopped working after 2 years, but this box seemed better designed and I sensed that it will not have the problems described in some of the other reviews. This is because we have a roof mounted aerial with a good signal. As with our old philips box, the picture is perfect and the menu of this model is much better. I also like the layout and design of the remote control. Setup was very easy and I have now used it for 2 weeks. It worked perfectly and I did not have to restart it once. Great product at a good discounted price.
