![]() Rating: - Not so sad without WellerIf you can get over the lack of Weller in this (and it seems some can't), by any standards this is a great performance by two of the original trio. As an original fan and having seen them many times in the late seventies, this comes closer to the hard-edged original than I'd thought possible. For Weller fans this will be quite pointless (he's a very different act these days), but for those who saw more in The Jam than just him, this is very well worth it. Makes you realise just how much of a contribution to the original sound these guys made. Rating: - sadi have no objection to buckler & foxton earning a living, but anyone who was around at the time & knew what the jam, & in particular weller was all about, knows that this is a bit pointless. for blokes who liked theyre older brothers albums Rating: - Waste of TimeLike watching The Beatles without Lennon & McCartney, totally pointless. Weller did the right thing all those years ago and these two should have listened to him. Go see Weller live instead and watch the real thing. Rating: - Good to see Buckler & Foxton backFor £8 this is really good value for money, I'm looking forward to seeing them at the Barrowlands now. I know there are purists out there that wont be happy that someone else is singing Weller's songs, but it is good to see Buckler again, even though he looks like the guy from The hills have eyes nowadays, and perhaps Bruce Foxton is to old for the Jam jumps and most of the crowd are to old for the mosh pit.Still the music is great and the interviews on second disc are well worth checking out. Rating: - The Jam???????The Jam without Weller are not the Jam, They now sound like a cover band...ridicolous...
