I loaned it at first from the local library, but it became such a valuable resource whilst considering the purchase of a Spanish property, that I just had to buy it for its thoroughness and step by step hints and tips. I purchased the 8th edition and hope there will be many more to come. Keep up the good work Tony ! Rating: - A Outstanding Guidance as well as a Very well written bookI bought this book in 2001 shortly before looking for villas in southern Spain. I found that the level of detail was enough for anyone to understand. I was so impressed with the content and thoughtful writing style that I approached Mr Foster for guidance on the purchase of a property in the Nerja region on Andalucia. He (as far as I am aware) still works out of offices in the town and dealt with every aspect of the buying procedure on our behalf. I am pleased to say we have owned a lovely property for just over three years now and we owe alot to the precise and professional way in which Tony helped us. A truly brilliant individual that I am happy to praise on any given occasion. I would not only recommend this book to you, but also would advise you to contact Tony if you are considering buying in this part of Spain. Rating: - Excellent ,simple and informative readingI purchased this book back in 1998/99 when myself and my wife decided to look for properties in Spain.Research before attempting to purchase overseas properties is vital. Tony not only gives you the pros and cons of buying property but also the legalities and others from buying new houses and resales to buying cars and motorcycles.The other excellent thing is that we have never come across before, is that you can contact the author (Tony)and he encourages this at the front of his book, which i have also done on more than one occasion and he has also contacted us.He is on the front line and knows his stuff with spending many years on the Costa Del Sol.
