Rating: - Good Book, worth buyingGenerally very useful, but it does lack certain areas that should really be included. Places like Barnet, Elstree etc are not covered, and they really should be. Considering the data covered, it is quite comprehensive. A little more information would be useful, but it is lack of is understandable. Other than the lack of some areas that really should be included, it is an otherwise very useful book. I would DEFINITELY recommend it, its worth the price. Rating: - Review of London Property GuideWhen you think what we poor souls pay to live in London, buying or renting, we do very little to check out what areas, streets are actually like to live in. Hands up the househunters who only saw their new flat in the dark, because they bought/rented in winter? One way to help is to [buy] this book. It covers London's areas. Lots of areas. The cover says 480 but I have not counted! It is obviously written by a person, or people, who have actually been to these places - which will in many cases save us the trouble! Buying a house is so expensive, so complex, so stressful that we need all the help we can buy or beg. This book is a help, and it obviously could save people thousands - and a lot of anguish if they avoid the wrong choice. It's quite fun to read, too. Rating: - Disappointing...I was so looking forward to but this guide! But when I finally did it, it was a big disappointment. I was expecting a different approach. The description of the boroughs was ok, but there is not a deeper description about transport, parks, shopping facilities and, specially as a parent, schools and crime. But the worst for me was to find out that none of the places where I'm interested in is included in the guide. There's nothing about Barnet, High Barnet, New Barnet, Cockfosters, Ilford, Wanstead, Gants Hill, Woodford, Hornchurch, Bexley, Sidcup, etc, etc. Sorry, it didn't work for me. I'll be back to my "Where to live in London". It's compact, gives all the information I need and comprises every single London Borough. Rating: - Excellent!!!If you're thinking of moving to or within London, this really is the only guide you need. It is perfectly balanced and unbiased, with all the information necessary to make a truly informed choice. Rating: - FantasticThe book was extremely useful with a lot of often missed information about areas of London. It is crammed full of facts and yet very easy to read. An interesting read especially for novices. I highly recommend it.
