Rating: - Worst player everI'm now on my third 4GB Stone in a week. The problem is that there is a distinct background noise that can be heard between tracks or at any point when the track goes quiet. It's a sort of electrical twitter. I can't be bothered to go back to the shop again...so this player has been binned. Save yourself time, money and hassle and stick to Ipod. Rating: - Good but poor battery lifeI wanted a small and basic player for the gym. It works well and holds alot of music. What lets it down is the battery life. I can only get about 5 hours from it. The "supports 15 hours battery life" is very misleading. I suppose if you use the player to play a silent mp3 file at the lowest volume setting then maybe it will last that long. They should really have made it a bit thicker and given it a bigger battery. Rating: - Terrific MP3 PlayerNot long received this Zen Stone Plus. First MP3 player I've had and it's so easy to use in every way. Battery life looks great so far and can't understand why I've taken so long to come in the MP3 era.Would thoroughly recommend this terrific player. Rating: - Excellent Product!Excellent. Charged battery up as stated and so far it has lasted around 3-4Hrs and i still have 2 bars left(out of 3), with contrast on 10% and Screen turning off after 5seconds. Works perfectly. Headphones are ok, but i plugged in my seinheiser set and sounds way better. The Zen it self is pratically weightless and is very small. A good little feature is you can flip it 180degrees so left handed people can use it no problem. Rating: - Good but some minor problemsBought mine 5 months ago and am can give a good opinion about this little piece. Good sound quality, perfect size and weight, earphones inclueded are rubbish but I bought a Sennheiser CX400 and it simply rocks! The maximum output volume of this player is not as loud as an iPod, however is loud enough for you to listen to your songs without any noise on the background, even using non in-ear phones. When changing the track it has a BIG sound gap in between and that's simply horrible while listening to live albums or albums with continuous tracks. This gap varies (don't know why) but is usually about 2 or 3 seconds. Browsing through the albums can be a big pain. It's slow because everytime you select an album it start playing the first song of it (then you have the problem of the sound gap) and it's just unbelievable how Creative made it this way. Usually I carry about 35-40 Albums on it and I rather put on shuffle and start skiping songs until it's close enough of the album that I'm looking for than usethe Browse Music menu and go through every album until the one I want. Battery life on mine is perfect. It always lasts about 9h30~10hs and takes about 1h30~1h45 to fully recharge via USB. I never used the mains charger but I presume it should be quicker that way. The EQ settings are a good thing but I never really had to use them. Radio is a bit awkward, the reception is not that good and sometimes it goes from stereo to mono and you notice that "the guittar was gone" or "there's something missing here". It doesn't work everywhere but when it works is pretty good. The microphone feature works well for lectures or speechs. When recording a live performance or anywhere loud(LOUD!) make sure you protect the microphone area with some cloth or wrap around, just to amenize the sound volume. I could even record rehersals of my band using this method and it worked pretty well. All in All, I've paid £35 including VAT so it was a good purchase but I would never pay more than £50. I'm very happy with mine and use it everyday but if you're perfectionist this is not the player for you. Hope this can give you a good idea.
