George Wimpey @ Marnel Park - 2007/12/10 18:42 Is this normal?

I went around for a Fam visit with the site manager and the sale person, picked up some snags and brought it to the site manager's attention and was told to give his guy a chance to go around to fix things. As someone was there patching dents etc.

I went back around my self and had a list of about 40 items. Went to try and give it to the sales person I was told that they do not take snag lists until 28 days after I have moved in.

Re:George Wimpey @ Marnel Park - 2007/12/18 10:45 I would suggest not to take in as a snag list before you moved in , they will try to ignore everything if you do. But any major things tell them to get it fixed before you move in.

We have moved in few days back and realised yesterday that the washing and dish washer are not connected properly. Only realised it when the plumber came in to fix some minor water leaks. I would suggest to keep checking in every 2 days and keep bugging them orelse they wont fix. Check all the windows as well , for us some of them did'nt fit properly.

You need to keep reminding them atleast 2,3 times a day to get things done.

All the best.

Re:George Wimpey @ Marnel Park - 2008/02/17 00:02 Your house would of been rushed out for there xmas figures, it would of been false dried by big gas bin heaters, so watch out for "blown tapes" around the ceiling line and hair line cracks starting in the middle of the walls, this is not acceptable shrinkage, it's bad practise pushed onto the tradesmen.
