This is rubbish she isn't interested to assisting customers otherwise there wouldn't be so many that have to fight to get simple snags completed, and as for the bigger problems with homes forget it David Wilson expect to see you in court before they are prepared to help.

I ahve to disagree, the whole point is that she is prepared to help, hence why she posts,in all the other posts on the site |I dint think anyone else from builders has done what pauline has. Yes I agree that these snags should not be there whether small or large, and often its because of local customer service centres not applying good custoemr care and attention in resolving these issues that leads customers like myslef to post,I started the thread of so understand the fristrations of dealing with DWH. BUt I have said it here and will again that once pauline got invloved everything got sorted in a professional manner, I do believe that comments made here do get passed down and systems are put in place to try to stop otehr customers of DWH going through what we do. You ahve the right to make a statment as you did but it would help others and maybe pauline to go into more detail and show us why you feel they want to see people in court. A house is a large purchase and you do expect everything to be perfect,if it is not you expect it to be put right in a caring and professional manner thorugh good custoemr service. I trust this is taking place, if it is not then the more information you can give on your dealings with them will help others make an informed purchase desision.

David Wilson Homes - 2005/10/19 17:20With regard to John001 and his points, it is great that Pauline Turnbull has helped your situation. The problem is she isn't prepared to help most. If she was then it would not need a snagging website as this to air views from frustrtaed purchasers. Myself and several of my neighbours have had personal contact with PaulineTurnbull and other members of the management team at DWH during months of correspondance and meetings. If DWH are serious about putting things right, why is it that I have three neighbours who still have outstanding issues - major issues such as drainage, and roof problems, despite her involvement. These homes have been occuppied for between 18 months and two plus years. I am afraid that myself and my neighbours lost faith in DWH long ago, and I certainly would not purchase a David Wilson home in the future. Its just too much hassle to get the home you dreamed of and the reality of what you bought. If this website can help other prosepective purchasers to steer clear of David Wilson Homes and undersatnd the pitfalls and workings once youhave completed then it has done its job. It is too late for us. We live in one!

David Wilson Homes - 2005/10/20 12:20Oh dear, it's all in the words . Mrs Turnbull writes. I would welcome the OPPORTUNITY to discuss further any problems our customers are experiencing. So then what? I would question how John 1002's experience has been so different to everyone else's and what he's trying to prove but then I'm with the deeply dissatisfied!!!

Well let me answer, the whole point of snagging.org and in particular the forums is to allow customers the opertunity to raise issues and to comment. That is what I did, I explained my case, got a reply from pauiline and have posted from then on my own particular views, my experience. That is only what I can comment on and of course comment on other peoples views and experiences. My experiuence has been different it would appear as all my snags have been resolved, mostly due to paulines intervention. Is that good enough? of course it is not but I am grateful that she has got invloved as I was getting no where fast, at the end of the day if I get good service or bad service it is only right that this forum allows me to share my experience so that it may give somebody the independant review of whether they should buy a DWH home. Im not trying to prove anything only empart my experience both good and bad and make comment were I feel it is neccesary such as this to answer a post.

David Wilson Homes - 2005/10/20 21:00In relation to the comments made by John1002, I must say that I am astounded, he seems to miss the point by a wide margin. The point being simply this, if you buy a product, be it a mars bar or a car you have full legal redress against the manufacturers if something goes wrong, consequently, they strive to ensure that their products are as close to perfection as their systems allow, most of them even provide a good customer service should it go wrong.......... but failing all else you can go to Court, secure in the knowledge that the law rests firmly on the side of the wronged, i.e the purchaser. The building industry does not work under these sort of restraints and the consequent product quality is available to be seen. I would suggest to anybody reading this site that they note the comments that have been made, then pay a visit to your local DWH showhome, once there, ignore the bright colours and the lovely furniture, just look at what you will actually get...look at the quality of the brickwork, quality of the plastering, look at the finish, then, before you sign up, ask them for a no quibble, money back guarantee that doesn't involve the NHBC. Bet you won't be overly surprised by the response!!!!!
